Dear Saints,
Check out this excellent video that captures what many of us have experienced in our walk with Christ. As a person who does not currently attend a church, I appreciate this and identify with the message.
For example, just yesterday, I had a brief conversation with a man who came into the business I work for and we discovered that his daughter lives in the same community in the Outer Banks of North Carolina that my brother lives in. The whole area was devastated by a flood caused by Hurricane Irene in August 2011. I told the man that my brother survived and is now thriving despite the destruction of his home and the hardship of it all because he is a man of Christian faith. I told him that is a "good thing" that helped him cope with it. The man then replied, "well sometimes that's not a good thing." I knew immediately he was judging "faith" and therefore Jesus, based on the religious systems of men. We may all have done that at some point before we came to know the true Jesus Christ and that true Christianity is not about religion but a relationship with Jesus our Savior!
In my opinion I believe that the "religious institution" of the church is failing miserably! No, not all churches of course, but the majority are. From the time you start attending a church they attempt to make you over into their image instead of allowing the Holy Spirit to change people into the image of Jesus. Many churches believe in Jesus but not in the "Christ" which is the "anointing" of the Holy Spirit which breaks the yoke of evil. Instead of seriously addressing the wounds of the people, (Jer 6:14 NIV ) and praying over them for healing and deliverance, these religious ones rely on the arm of flesh by their works. Furthermore, most churches do not operate in the five fold ministry that was established by God for the perfecting of the Saints. (Eph 4:11-12).
I pray that this video will reach those that need to hear it's message! May it spark the church to wake up and start to care about the sheep and to properly operate in the five fold ministry and properly feed the sheep the milk and meat of the word. I pray that the religious institutions will listen to God's word that says;
Jam 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

So much truth in the video. Very sad. We finally stopped going to the "business church, social club church" and honestly can say we do not miss it.
ReplyDeleteDear Sara,Thanks for all you do in the the lords work.My wife and I have not attended Church for over a year now .I believe that God is calling out his remnent and keeping us in the shaddow of his wings. Most Churches have gone the way of world and it is these Churches that will go through the coming trib.that is to say the people still in them.I could say much more about my own situation but will only say Jesus is now my 24/7 companion and not just on Sundays ! I fell led to guide you to the the following web site http;//www.prophecyinthenews.com/why-is- there-a-rapture-of-the-church/ best explaination I have ever read ! be blessed my Friend. And may it bless your " flock " Burt
ReplyDeleteAmen... Wow! this brought tears to my eyes and a sweet release of my love for our Lord Jesus. Thank you Sarah.
ReplyDeleteHi Burt- I long for a church family to belong to and have prayed for this. But alas my walk is still very solitary except for a couple local friends and the fellowship on this blog.
ReplyDeleteI will read the article you posted. I have a belief in the scripture that that says the rapture and first resurrection occur at the same time as Jesus told us.
Mat 24:29-31. But I do not debate this or ever break fellowship with other believers on a difference on this subject. No way!
God bless and stay strong in the power of His might!
In Christ, Sarah
Hi Sara,We are in the same situation as you.Sometimes I feel that God is planning something soon but will not tell me.So in faith and obedience we just "abide" .I really did feel led to contact you above which could be a clue to why we are where we are right now.God bless you as we watch and wait while we continue occupy and wittness.
ReplyDeletelove in Jesus,Burt
ITs nice to see a young person rapping on the Gospel of Grace. but we must be careful not to demonize all Church Establishments, The Lord knows how to seperate the wheat from the tares. there are a lot of establishments that have done much good and is sanctioned by God. I;m glad to see someone who have learned early in life that it's about relationship and not Religion. but we are all a work in progress the tares today just may the the wheat of tommorow.
ReplyDeleteYou need to see his follow up video that explains why he made the one above. All is not as it seems. He is offended by the insistence that sin defiles and he finds such assertions ungrace-like. This is a good blog post on it. http://thelatterdays.blogspot.com/2012/01/three-rs-of-rebellion.html#more
ReplyDeleteWhat is a difference between the religious people and people having a relationship with God? How are they acted different from each other? I wanted ot have a relationship with God and I don't wanted to be religious. I beleive that Religion is so overwhiming to people.
