According to a recent survey, many Americans think that their faith is not the only way to Heaven. The results of this survey of 35,000 Americans were published recently and reveal that 57% of the respondents believe that there are many religions that lead to eternal life. 68% said there is more than one true way to interpret the meaning of what their religion teaches.
This directly confirms that the churches are not teaching the truth of the Bible that proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ which VERY plainly instructs us that all other religions are false and there is only one way to obtain eternal life.
Could this situation be Biblical prophecy unfolding before our very eyes? Is this the beginning of the 'falling away" as prophesied in 2 Thessalonians 2:3, “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first,".
Let me define apostasy for you as it relates to faith: Abandonment of one's religious faith or the principles of that faith. Defection, deserter, turncoat, abandonment, moral confusion, opposition to the truth.
This situation is depicted in a dream I had on June 22ND, 2008. My dream represents how the churches are violating (fornicating) with the flock, Christ's sheep.
Here is my dream:
I was aware that I was being violated. I could not see what or who it was but I could feel that something was violating me and I could not stop it. It felt good to me but I also felt like I was not in control, there was something else that was in control of me.
I then found myself standing in a store that had fleece sweatshirts stacked on shelves. The top 1/4 part of the fleece was red in color. The bottom part of the fleece was off-white in color and was very dirty. I did not want to wear the dirty sweatshirts and I was sure no one else would want them either because they were so dirty.
Interpretation:
The violation represents how the church is "fornicating" with the flock. They do not teach the WHOLE truth of the Bible and they omit much of the critical things that the flock needs to know. The Shepherds teach about a "cheap grace" of forgiveness without the firm message that there is a requirement to repent of our sinful ways- to daily crucify our flesh!
The primary focus in many churches is on blessings and grace and what God can do for you but not what you will do for God. The fleece sweatshirts in my dream represent Christ's sheep. The red at the top of the fleece represents the blood of Christ that does not fully cover the sheep because of the lies of the Shepherds and therefore the ignorance of the flock. The dirty part of the fleece represents a flock that are unclean and not fully covered by the blood of Christ due to their lack of repentance and adherence to God's commandments.
On a recent morning when I woke up the Lord spoke to me the words "Jude- the silent Bible". I was not sure what the Lord was trying to tell me so I did some research about the book of Jude.
I came to understand through my study that the book of Jude is about the apostate church. The Lord was telling me that the Bible is silent in the church because of a lack of teaching the FULL and true Gospel of Jesus. That Gospel encompasses salvation through the atoning blood of Jesus, repentance of sin, obedience to the will of God and walking in the authority given to us by Jesus.
My dream was a vivid illustration of how this terrible situation is violating God's people. Shame on the churches and shame on the ministers, pastors and tel-evangelists! They don't tell the truth to those who are all too eager to "have their ears tickled" about how God is going to bless them with everything they want but they leave out what is required of them from our Lord.
"My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6)
The state of the church prior to the tribulation according to scripture:
"The prophets prophesy lies, the priests rule by their own authority, and my people love it this way. But what will you do in the end?" (Jeremiah 5:31 NIV)
"Israel's watchmen are blind, they all lack knowledge; they are all mute dogs, they cannot bark;they lie around and dream, they love to sleep. They are dogs with mighty appetites; they never have enough. They are shepherds who lack understanding;they all turn to their own way, each seeks his own gain". (Isaiah 56 10-11 NIV)
"These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage. But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. They said to you, 'In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires'.These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit." (Jude 1:16-19 NIV)

that's certainly why we're to study the Word for ourselves. There will be a serious lack of dedicated, true disciples shepherding the church as we get closer to being persecuted for our belief in Yeshua. We'd better know what we know and work while it's still daylight.
